The association of 3 world renowned talents to develop an innovative, luxurious and fast cruising catamaran.
The new Lagoon 560 fills the gap between the Lagoon 620, flagship of the range, and the Lagoon 500, unrivalled 50’ blue water cruising catamaran with more than 130 units delivered by the end of 2010.
Like all Lagoons, she is a VPLP design. As for the interior, Lagoon asked the famous Nauta Yachts design office to join the team, which certainly was decisive in placing her one step ahead of the competition, whether in terms of comfort, ergonomics or style.
An original concept and a 25 years know how:
The new Lagoon 560 naturally benefits from numerous strong points of the other models in the range (infusion moulding, seagull wing shaped bridgedeck, vertical saloon windows, volume and light in the cabins…). But it is also extremely innovative in many respects.
Outside:
Experience that serves innovation:
- Hull shape: on top of its famous seagull wing shape, the bridgedeck has 2 double longitudinal chines for a comfortable ride in heavy seas as well.
- The fly bridgetruly represents an upper deck salon. It is accessed via a spiral staircase and can be closed off (for safety and to protect the cockpit in bad weather). The steering position on top guarantees an excellent visibility, and the seats comfort has been particularly well looked after. The fly fridge also receives a superb sunbathing area, located behind the steering station so as to be clear of all manoeuvres. All lines are lead to winches forward of the helm station.
- The cockpit is the Lagoon 560’s second terrace, this one being fully sheltered. It offers a direct access from the owner’s cabin to starboard, as well as from the guest cabin to port. Direct communication on one level with the saloon, the navigation area and the galley is insured by a large transparent sliding door.
- The aft transom access platforms have been particularly studied for a safe and easy boarding from the tender.
Inside: Nauta Yachts magic
An elegant and functional use of space:
The cabins accommodations are very different from the traditionally hull-aligned furniture: the beds, desks and bulkheads positions. The feeling of space is impressive, and all cabins have their own private bathroom with en suite separate shower.
- The remarkable use of space is particularly well illustrated by the bathrooms and the size of their furniture.
- In the main cabin, the saloon and the galley are separated by a large storage block with working space on top and which can also accommodate a telescopic TV set on the saloon side.
- The L shaped galley is extremely complete, with large working areas, plenty of storage and all amply sized necessary equipment. Optional equipment can also be fitted in the galley or in the gangway nearby.
- The forward facing chart table has a real armchair that can be stowed away under the table when not in use. The navigation electronics and the multiplex electric control panel fit into a panel that conveniently recesses into the dashboard when not in use.
- The vertical windows of the saloon can be equipped with adjustable blinds so as to perfectly adjust the amount of natural light.
- The salon and the cabins all have indirect lighting for a comfortable light at night
- Last but not least, an optional blond teak finish is available, and the Lagoon 560 is offered in 4 or 5 double cabins*.
