This 1970 280SL has had a full Motoring Investments engine rebuild and major reconditioning in our workshops. This is a great rust free example of a late series car with A/C, Auto trans, both tops and full leather upholstery. Also featured prominently is the original Becker Europa AM/FM radio, power: steering, antenna and disc brakes. This car has survived the past 42 years with all of its original sheet metal and shows the body number stampings, headlight notches and factory spot-welds in all of the right places from the original manufacturing process. Fully fettled in our shop this car is turn-key and could easily be used as a daily driver, a tour car, a weekend pleasure car, a local show car or as part of your investment portfolio. Many experts have pointed out that collector cars have outpaced conventional investments lately by a large margin. The first year the LT1 motor option, a solid lifter 350 V8 generating 370 horse power and a 6,500 red line and the same motor used in the legendary Z28 Camaro for 1970 it is the last of the old school hot rods from Chevrolet. If you wanted air conditioning or an automatic you would need to order a less spirited hydraulic lifter motor option. The Protecto-plate shows this car was sold new at Guaranty Chevrolet right here in Santa Ana California to a resident of Balboa Island in Newport Beach California. The current pink slip (title) shows the car last registered back in the mid 1980’s in Apple Valley (high desert) California. It still retains its original number matching motor, with it’s A. I. R. pump and fourth gear timing advance module in place. The fiberglass body still sporting her original coat of paint, hood stripe, and LT1 decal very faded. The original seat covers have the foam breaking down and carpet with the usual wear spots. The front end of the car showing its 1970 California issued license plate flanked on both sides by the 1970 only grills (no lower screw holes). All in all this is a pretty special car, it runs out very strong, shifts well, brakes are good, a real nice original car. Optioned with power brakes, power windows, tilt/ teli steering, shoulder harness seat belts and AM/ FM radio. ]]>

This 1955 Nomad has had a complete rotisserie restoration. It retains its original sheet metal, floors and braces, along with the original look of the '55 Nomad. The only outward indication that it is not all original are the wheels. Inside it has been modified with a 383 Stroker, automatic transmission with overdrive, 4 wheel disc brakes, drop spindles and power steering. It is a dream to drive and is sure to do well in any shows with its "laser" straight body. Please call Tommy with questions at 256-810-7687. See more photos at AlabamaClassicCars.com. We love interesting Porsche’s and this week’s feature definitely caters to our tastes. Hoekstra LTD is pleased to present this 1972 Porsche TV. The 911 TV was a carbureted coupe with S front bumper and front and rear sway bars. These cars were a European spec only. The 72 911 TV offered here was originally purchased in Germany by an officer in the USAF and brought back to the States after his tour in West Germany. The car remained in his possession for a number of years used off and on as a second vehicle. The car changed hands in the early 1990’s and was completely restored as a Carrera RS. This was a six year endeavor, all professionally engineered and executed by very capable minds in the automotive engineering arena. The new power plant consists of a 2.2 liter case, utilizing “E” spec pistons and jugs. (S pistons were considered but the dome was deemed too aggressive and would cause excessive valve wear). “S” cams were used; the heads were assembled on a jig with new, precision ground valves, valve guides and springs implemented to the build. All chain tensioner and appropriate upgrades were completed at this time. All this resulted in an aggressive but manageable 10.5.1 compression ratio. The 5-speed gear box was also opened up, rebuilt and resealed accordingly. This car also features new SSI heat exchangers. The exterior restoration began with a rust free, straight forward one-owner car imported from W. Germany. Only restored original or the best NOS parts available were used in the transformation of this 72 TV to a 73 RS. The oil filler door was eliminated per the requirements of the owner. NOS fenders were acquired from Stoddard imports as well as real Porsche NOS steal rear fender flare extensions were acquired and used. All the original bright work was stripped, polished and re-anodized as well as the original Fuch style Porsche wheels. The restoration also features all NOS glass acquired from Stoddard. The suspension and all moving suspension parts have been rebuilt using all polyurathatne bushings and grommets. No expense was spared in restoring the interior with Auto’s international material, RS panels and pulls. This car also features authentic Porsche Aluminum RS bumpers and NOS rear deck lid. After six years of planning, engineering and implementing knowledge and knowhow, the car was unveiled at the Stoddard Imports Porsche Concourse where it won best of show in year 2000. It had to be clarified that the car was not an original RS. Since, the car has been appreciated and cared for by its owner / creator until we were fortunate enough to acquire. These cars are fast appreciating in value - true RS Porsche’s are nearly unobtainable. The quality, performance and reliability of the car offered here is outstanding. This is an opportunity. This 1940 Mercury Series 09A Custom Coupe . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Green Metallic with a White interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. 1940 Mercury Series 09A Custom Coupe Chassis no. 99A121762 During the late 1940s, Los Angeles publisher 'Pete' Petersen's Hot Rod magazine introduced California-style custom cars to fresh eyes around the rest of the country. By the '50s, customizing was going on wherever there were both young people and automobiles. Few knew that a nascent custom car movement had existed in the Golden State even before World War II. Only a handful of genuinely 'pre-war' California customs survives today--and among them, almost none exist as originally executed. A marvelous exception is this striking chopped-top 1940 Mercury. Customized right after it was delivered to its first owner in late 1939, this was the first 1940 custom Merc convert in the greater Los Angeles area. It was later stored, with its original custom metal work intact, for decades. After reemerging in 2005, the car has very recently been delightfully restored, in exacting and authentic detail, to its circa 1940-41 custom appearance and configuration. Certainly, few cars ever lent themselves better to customizing than the muscularly bulbous 1940 Mercury. Ford Motor Co. had introduced Mercury just the year before, in a move to fill the void that existed between the low-priced everyman's Ford V-8 and the luxurious, expensive and exclusive Lincoln Zephyr V-12. Marketing intentions aside, the sleek and fast '40 Mercury V-8 convertible simply radiated 'attitude' and from the moment it first appeared, the style was especially coveted by car-savvy youths. Original owner Charlie Marr, of Burbank, California received his new 1940 Mercury Convertible in November 1939. Within two weeks, Marr and friend Gerry Huth had chopped the windshield three inches. A Carson removable padded top was added soon after, making the car the first '40 Merc ever to be so equipped. Around 1962--shortly after he took over the former Valley Customs shop in Burbank from Clay Jensen--custom-builder Carl Morton acquired the tired, but still essentially as-built, old Marr-Huth car. Morton appreciated that the venerable Merc had been one of the first customs to come out of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, an area that had become a hotbed of custom car culture after WWII. (Valley Customs itself had been founded by Jensen and partner Neil Emory in 1948.) He also knew both Charlie Marr and Gerry Huth--the latter had become the proprietor of a well-known Burbank muffler shop specializing in custom exhausts, and was the inventor of the Huth automated exhaust-pipe bender. For more than four decades, Morton kept the car in storage. As several other '40 Mercury projects came and went, he set aside original parts from Charlie's old custom, while also accumulating new old stock for a planned redo. Thanks to Morton's diligence, all of the original customized body parts, including the fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid--plus smaller pieces, such as the window frames, vent windows, dash and windshield trim--remained with the car. The vendor became the historic custom's third owner when he obtained the car, still in unrestored condition, during 2005. A thorough restoration was performed in 2008-2009, during which every possible effort was made to use only authentic pre-World War II era parts. After the car was totally disassembled and dipped, all bodywork was done in lead before the epoxy primer went on. Custom Sikkens Autocryl green metallic paint replicated a hand-rubbed multi-coat lacquer finish. Paul Reichling of Cedardale Upholstery recreated the original Carson top, while Guy's Interior Restorations of Portland did the two-tone interior--which is period-custom correct right down to the column shift, ivory-colored 1940 Buick steering wheel and matching knobs. Additional early '40s custom touches include the '37 DeSoto 'ripple' bumpers; '41 Studebaker taillights, teardrop skirts and 'flipper' hubcaps. The unusual above-the-bumper dual exhausts are the way they were, as are the dual Appleton spotlights. A 1940 flat-head V-8 block was bored and stroked to 276 cubic inches for the Merc. The ported and relieved engine runs an Isky 3-4 cam. Authentic pre-war speed equipment includes the chromed cylinder heads, Weiand dual-carb set-up and modified Lincoln-Zephyr V-12 dual-coil ignition. Also in the hot-rod tradition, the Merc's three-speed manual transmission has Zephyr gears and a Zephyr two-speed overdrive rear axle. The frame is C'd over the rear axle, while a Zephyr hypoid differential allowed the car to set lower without reshaping the factory-shape driveshaft tunnel. Zephyr self-energizing hydraulic brakes provide stopping power. All of these period modifications make for a very nice driving car that can cruise comfortably at highway speeds, the vendor states. The freshly completed and beautifully detailed '40 was featured at the 2009 Sacramento Autorama, in a special non-judged Merc room exhibit honoring 70 years of Mercury customs. Seven decades ago, Charlie Marr's custom Mercury Convertible essentially defined for the very first time everything we've come to consider a proper custom 'lead sled' Merc should be. The car is nothing less today than a historically important and wonderfully gorgeous work of art--and there no doubt it will be treasured as such all the more so with the continuing passage of time. A historically significant pre-WWII LA Custom by Charles Marr and Gerry Huth! This 1955 Porsche 356 Continental Coupe . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Grey with a Tan interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. 1955 Porsche 356 "Continental" Coupe Chassis No. 53122 Original Engine No. 34276 Current Engine No. 705750 Transmission No. 5089 (H5) Delivered: 03-08-1955 Original Color Scheme: Adria Blue Metallic (5410 B)-wine red-carpet-headliner The 356A model was introduced in the fall of 1955, and some had a side script that proudly identified the car as a Continental, which is an often misunderstood rarity. This name was instigated by Max Hoffman, the exclusive importer of Porsches into the USA who felt that Americans didn't relate to cars that only had model numbers. Previous Porsches had simply been called the 356, which was the Porsche internal design number. Continental Hoffman was convinced that Americans wanted to buy cars with names like BelAir or Fairlane. So, in the spirit of American marketing, Porsche began putting a Continental script on the fenders of late 1955 model year coupes and cabriolets that were sent to the United States. Unfortunately for Porsche, Ford Motor Company claimed the rights to the Continental name and threatened legal action, so Porsche stopped using that script at the end of the 1955 model year and changed the script to European for the 1956 model year. Cars delivered in Europe did not have the script. Other than the badge, the Continental was a standard-specification car for the United States market, meaning speedometer markings were in miles and the headlights were the sealed beam type. After January, 1956, except for the Speedster and Carrera models no further 356 models were badged with names, only letters were used as model designations." - 356 Registry Chassis No. 53122: Finished in graphic metallic-oatmeal interior upholstery, this handsome 356 is certainly a rare and desirable find. In 2008, while under the care of the previous owner, the car underwent a thorough ground-up restoration, reviving the Continental to show quality. Maintained and driven periodically since, the 356 remains an excellent example today. Some time ago, the 356 was fitted with a more powerful 1600 "Super" engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. Mechanically the car is very strong and reliable. Following the restoration in 2008, the previous owner successfully completed an estimated 1,800 mile roundtrip in the 356; experiencing no major problems all the way. The car (and engine) had not trekked 200 miles in the 20 years preceding the trip! Rare and desirable 356 Continental Coupe! Ready to show or drive! A very reliable example! Only: $62,500.00!! This 1962 Ford Thunderbird 2dr Convertible . It is equipped with a Automatic transmission. The vehicle is White with a Red interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. 1962 Ford Thunderbird Convertible Chassis No. 2Y85Z103938 Evoking the mythological creature of Indigenous peoples of North America, the Thunderbird entered production for the 1955 model year as a sporty two-seat convertible. Unlike the Chevrolet Corvette, it was not marketed as a sports car. Rather, Ford created a new market segment, the Personal Luxury Car. Third generation (1961--1963): The Thunderbird was redesigned for 1961 with sleeker styling that gave the car a distinctively bullet-like appearance. A new engine, the 390 cu in (6.4 L) FE V8, was the standard and only engine initially offered in the Thunderbird. The V8 produced 300 horsepower and was mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The new Thunderbird was immediately well received with 73,051 sold for 1961. The car was 1961's Indianapolis 500 pace car and was featured prominently in US President John F. Kennedy's inaugural parade, probably helped along by the appointment of Ford executive Robert McNamara as Secretary of Defense. A vinyl-roofed Landau option with simulated S-bars was added to the Thunderbird for 1962 as was a Sports Roadster package for convertible models. The Sports Roadster included 48-spoke Kelsey Hayes-designed wire wheels and a special fiberglass tonneau cover for the rear seats which gave the car the appearance of a two-seat roadster like the original Thunderbird. 2Y85Z103938: This iconic American convertible presents well with an older cosmetic restoration and recent mechanical overhaul. Finished in the original Corinthian White and red vinyl color combination, this 3-owner vehicle is a fantastic example of a quality driver. Although not an original Sports Roadster, this T-Bird mimics a roadster very well with its wire wheels and removable fiberglass tonneau cover. The radio and all electronics on the car work flawlessly, including the complex convertible top and trunk! Showing only 33,853 recorded miles, the car has been well cared for throughout its life. Recent services include: Oil change and tune up, new brakes, rebuilt carburetor, replaced original radiator core, new radial tires, transmission adjustment, and a 100-point mechanical and safety inspection. The T-Bird drives and tracks smoothly, while the engine starts right up every time. Desirable American classic! Less than 35,000 original miles! Recent mechanical overhaul! A three-owner example! Only: $36,950.00!! SELLING WITH NO RESERVE, PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS BIDDERS!!! For more information, contact: sales@driversource.com We buy all classic European and American sport cars! It was a lightweight and nimble handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2 door sports car, available in hardtop and convertible configurations. Design innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. Production started in 1948 at Gmnd, Austria where approximately 50 cars were built. In 1950 the factory relocated to Zuffenhausen, Germany and general production of the 356 continued until April 1965, although 1963 was the last year for the 356B, soon succeeded by the 356C. 212039: Presented here, is a fantastic presentation of the highly popular 356 B Coupe. This numbers-matching example was a recipient of a thorough ground up restoration about ten years ago; with no item overlooked during the process. Everything from the body to engine and drive-train, seals, lights, electrical system (12v), hoses and lines were either refreshed or replaced. A comprehensive restoration coupled with the beautiful color combination of this 356, sets it apart from many other existing examples (silver metallic finish-burgundy leatherette interior). The mechanicals, electrical system, drive train and brakes run smoothly and reliably as they should. A very solid driver! A very reliable machine; smooth shifting, solid braking, and tight steering! This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Coupe . It is equipped with a Automatic transmission. The vehicle is White with a Red interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Chassis No: 41447U151197 Engine: 327ci - 300hp Transmission: 2-Speed Powerglide Accessories: Power steering, power brakes, power windows, tach, tilt column, wood steering wheel, factory A-C. History: The Chevrolet Impala is an automobile created by the Chevrolet unit of General Motors. First introduced in 1958, Impala cars were pretty unique due to their sporty trim packaging. In the 1950s, Chevrolet's chief engineer regarded the Impala as a 'prestige car within reach of the average American citizen'. The super sport criterion was added in 1961 to enhance the sporty image of the existing Impala. The Impala SS's trademark was the SS emblem on the rear fenders and the trunk lid. The initial look of the Super Sports Impalas in the years 1962 and 1963 was similar to the exterior side moldings of those on the Impala. However, in 1964, the Impala super sports were trimmed with a different full-length body. The exterior of the Chevy 1964 Impala SS was much more formal in looks than in the model of the earlier year. The rear side of the car was equipped with three circular taillights, while the headlights were huge and oval in shape. The exterior trim was anodized aluminum supported by stainless-steel windows and a few chrome-plated emblems. Due to the popularity of the 1964 Impala SS, it was made in its own series, becoming a separate model instead of being offered as an option package. 41447U151197: Presented here is without a doubt the most immaculately restored 1964 Impala SS to currently grace the market. Absolutely no expense was spared during its precise nut-and-bolt concours restoration in 2003. This multiple award winning example was revived beyond factory standards to achieve a flawless finish. The restoration included powder coating the frame, differential housing, suspension pieces, wheel wells, braces - brackets, plus more. The numbers matching engine, transmission and differential were rebuilt to factory specs. All bolts were replaced with stainless steel "Factory" bolts. Everything throughout the Impala is new or restored. All body panels and floor pans are original and rust free as well. The A-C blows very cold and everything works with the exception of the clock. Underbody finish: Red primer base coat with "dulled" clear coat, as from the factory. Exterior finish: Ermine White base coat-clear coat (originally Desert Beige). Interior: White vinyl (originally Fawn) - with factory pattern and red trim. Includes original owner's guide, protection plan, and accessory booklet! Complete before-after photo documentation of the restoration! Accompanied by multiple award plaques! Only 667 recorded miles since restoration! This 1969 Porsche 911E 2dr Targa . It is equipped with a SportShift transmission. The vehicle is Blue with a Black interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. 1969 Porsche 911E Targa Chassis No. 119210117 Engine No. 6298118 Type: 901-11 Transmission No. 3180247 Type: 905-00 (4spd Sportomatic) Only a few years after the 911 was introduced in 1965 the 911E became the first fuel injected Porsche 911 when it was introduced in 1969 a 2-litre (1991cc) refinement with Bosch mechanical injection which increased horsepower from the 911Ts 125hp to 158hp and added 8 lb-ft torque at the same time. It foreshadowed the future of Porsche. Debuting just a year before was Porsches innovative Targa design with a full width rollbar and integrated removable roof panel. The combination 1969 911E Targa is one of Porsches most important and significant models implying the future not only of Porsches fuel injected flat six engines but also the 911 series diverse body styles. 119210117: Meticulously cared for by its previous owner of 28 years, this complete numbers-matching 911E has been thoroughly restored beyond factory specs throughout the last decade. No detail was overlooked during the rebuild, reviving this California car to a semi-outlaw themed driver. The 911 achieves its more modern appearance with an aggressive lowered stance, beautiful glossy paint, excellent brightwork, and upholstered targa top. The interior has had a few modern touches as well. The stereo system has been upgraded with an aftermarket Sony CD player, which can easily be replaced back to a factory unit if desired. The sporty bucket seats were transplanted from a late 80's Carrera, and complement the interior quite nicely. A Momo steering wheel was installed in place of the factory assembly, although the original wheel is included. And white (factory style) racing gauges replace the OEM black units. Mechanically, the 911 is extremely strong and reliable. The engine, drive train, steering and suspension have all received a considerable amount of care and attention. All recent servicing and restoration paperwork accompany the vehicle, totaled in excess of $15,000! The owner's folder containing all of the original guides and manuals, two sets of keys, vehicle registration from 1982, an extra set of fitted floor mats, and bonnet bra are also included with the car. The undercarriage retains its original factory undercoat and shows no signs of rust. The fit and finish throughout is excellent and ready to show or drive. To drive this car is truly and enjoyable experience. It has a smooth idle at a stand still and sounds great on an open road! If you are looking for that sporty tight feel this is it! This 1966 Fiat Gamine 500 Convertible . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Red with a Tan Leather interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1966 Fiat Gamine Coachwork by: Carrozzeria Vignale Chassis No. 110F1820976 Engine No. 110F0001928647 As one of the premier Italian coachbuilders, Vignale designed and built bodies for Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia and Cunningham among others. The Gamine was Alfredo Vignales personal project that was produced in limited numbers by Vignales own manufacturing plant under the name Carozzeria Vignale. The car was based on the Fiat Nuova 500 Sport, but was rebodied at the Vignale plant. No one knows exactly how many Gamines were built, but the best estimates are around 300. There are very few of these unique vehicles left in existence, especially in this kind of condition. Within the last half decade, the Gamine has received a full nut-and-bolt restoration bringing it to a condition deserving of its rarity and Vignale heritage. This handsome little car is nicely presented in Rosso Dino, a striking orange red over tan hides with complementary red piping. Behind the front grille and freestanding headlamps is a compartment that houses the gas tank and spare tire, with power coming from the rugged Fiat two-cylinder in the rear. All open compartments are fully detailed and look show room fresh. The car remains visually stunning today, but your detailer will point out a couple small paint drips, and a slight buckling in the glove compartment door, which are all easily repaired. These wonderfully eccentric pieces of Italian automotive history are now very sought after, attracting a cult following for a charming character and their unique Vignale history. While good examples of the Gamine are few and far between, this pristine example will surely invite attention wherever it goes and provide a truly special open-top motoring experience. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1969 Excalibur Series I Phaeton Chassis No. 6083 Many replicars have come and gone since the mid-1960s, so its fitting that the first and best of the breed -- the 1965-1969 Excalibur Series I -- would survive the longest. It was the splendid creation of noted industrial designer Brooks Stevens. Stevens devised what he called a contemporary classic, a new car that looked like the supercharged Mercedes SSK he once owned. Badged Studebaker SS, the dashing cycle-fendered roadster he created prompted his sons to form SS Automobiles in August 1965, and began commercially producing the unique and well engineered vehicles bearing the Stevens-registered name Excalibur. Offered here is a highly presentable and immaculately restored Excalibur Phaeton with long-term ownership. Purchased in 1975 by the previous caretakers, this example has been meticulously well maintained while driven sparingly over the years. Recently, the Excalibur received a full frame off restoration to revive the Phaeton to show quality standards. Paint, brightwork and upholstery were among the many components addressed, as well as a full mechanical rebuild of the Corvette 327 motor, turbo automatic transmission and rear end. The elegant open cruiser in finished in deep burgundy red over black trim and weather equipment. It is rare to come across such a pristine example of the distinct, limited production Series I Phaeton. This unique vehicle will certainly invite attention wherever it goes, making it the quintessential weekend parader! Recent Complete Restoration! Highly Detailed with Excellent Fit Finish! It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1979 Pontiac Trans AM Chassis No. 2W87K9L114980 During the 1970s, tightening emissions regulations, rising oil prices and economic recession conspired to threaten the very existence of the American performance car. However, the Pontiac Trans Am actually enjoyed growing popularity, thanks to its powerful engines, outstanding handling, and head-turning styling. In addition, many racing victories and the 1977 release of Burt Reynolds "Smokey and the Bandit" solidified the Trans Am legend. The 1979 Trans Am offered here is finished in bright Cameo white over blue interior trim velour upholstery. As documented by Pontiac Historic Services, this particular Trans Am was built at Pontiacs Van Nuys, California plant, with a list price of $8,379.45. T-Tops and sport mirrors complete the theme. While the car is not detailed to show-quality standards, and age-appropriate wear is evident throughout, the car nonetheless remains an excellent driver! This 1952 Buick Series 50 2dr Woodie . It is equipped with a Automatic transmission. The vehicle is Burgundy with a Red interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1952 Buick Series 50 "Woodie" Estate Wagon Chassis No. 16695594 Specs: Inline eight-cylinder engine, five main bearings, Carter four-barrel carburetor, Dynaflow Drive automatic transmission and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. For 1952 Buick refined, rather than redesigned their cars. The rare and desirable Estate Wagon (Model 59) was the most extensive Super model; it used side wood trim sparingly, however the tailgate was hand crafted in the truest of "woodie" styles. All Woodies were produced in the Flint Assembly Plant due to the proximity of the outside supplier Ionia Body Company, who supplied the combination of wood and steel bodies from 1949 through 1953. The early Super Series 50 were powered by an inline eight-cylinder engine and was distinguished by its three chrome ventiports on the sides of the hood. The Supers were the same size as the Specials with their 121.5 inch wheelbase, unless the Super Series 50 LWB version was ordered. This extended the wheelbase by four inches and provided extra interior room for its passengers. 16695594: The 1952 Series 50 Estate presented here marks the end of an era, as 1953 would be the final year Buick offered wood on its Estate wagons. This nostalgic driver is equipped with a Dynaflow automatic transmission, full wheel covers, electric clock, radio, heater, and wide white walled tires. Overall, this is a highly original example; finished in maroon paint over red interior upholstery, and proudly displays a beautiful patina throughout. The cosmetic restoration, although aged, remains very solid top to bottom, including all exterior wood. As with any older preserved vehicle the brightwork, undercarriage and engine bay are by no means show quality, but certainly add character to the overall presentation. Mechanically the Buick is in good running and driving condition. It makes for a good driver as-is or would make for an easy restoration. Early American Woodies are becoming very valuable and extremely hard to find! Extremely Rare Post-War Woodie! Desirable California Car! Beautiful Interior and Patina! Presentable Driver or Excellent Restoration Prospect! A Classic American Icon! This 1953 Bentley R-Type Saloon . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Black with a Brown Leather interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1953 Bentley R-Type Chassis No. B295T0 Engine No. B1475 Body No. 6212 After World War II Rolls-Royce resumed car production with the Bentley Mark VI with modifications (larger engine and boot) evolved into the R-Type. Departing from the custom coach bodies of the pre-war era, the first post World War II Bentley cars were factory fitted with steel coach work. A limited number of Mark VI and Rs were re-badged with Rolls-Royce grills and marketed as Silver Dawns. This R-Type was known as the big bore and big boot sports saloon which was advertised as the silent sports - to be driven by its owner. A 4.5-liter six-cylinder engine with a four-speed floor shift makes the car very responsive and fun to drive. According to the original build sheet, this beautifully presented coach was finished from the factory in Masons Black lacquer over brown hides, piping and carpeting with fawn head cloth. The standard steel saloon has been cautiously preserved all of these years, while keeping the Bentleys authenticity and originality in mind. The cars exterior paint, trim-bright work and lamps remain untouched and highly original, including the undercarriage and boot! It is quite apparent this long-term California car was sheltered from moisture and humidity as the body and chassis are incredibly solid, and exterior displays a gorgeous patina throughout. As expected, the finish does exhibit minor flaws and blemishes in areas but over all it is very presentable. The cabins upholstery was beautifully restored around 19 years by a former caretaker. Such an opulent coach as this deserved only the highest quality of hides and wool carpeting. Its fine woodwork was re-polished as well. All instrumentation, electronics, radio and signals remain in proper working order, as well as the desirable sunroof. The numbers-matching motor is reliable and quiet, while the transmission effortlessly shifts through all of its gears; this wonderful saloon certainly offers quite the pleasant autumn driving experience! Notable features include wide white-walled tires, center-mounted driving lamp, a complete factory tool kit, jack and spare assembly. Multiple films of the Bentleys original build sheet are available for inspection and will be included in the sale. The unique features on this car are testament to the luxury and exclusivity it provided when sold new. It has rear foot rest, pullout ash trays from the rear arm rest, bookmatched walnut picnic tray tables, in-dash toolkit, radio, sunroof, rear vanity mirrors, cigarette lighter and more... A Well Preserved Example! California Car with Previous Long-Term Ownership! Numbers-Matching, Solid Body Undercarriage! Complete with Tools, Jack and Spare Assembly! Factory Build Sheet Films! Beautiful interior with many unique features! Desirable Manual Transmission! * One of the finest, hones ]]>

This 1965 Porsche 911 2dr Coupe . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Blue with a Black Leatherette interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1965 Porsche 911 Coupe Chassis No. 301421 Engine No. 901478 - Type 901-01 1378 Transmission No. 230753 - Type 902-1 Porsche brought the 911 into production in 1964 and it immediately sent shock waves through the motoring industry. It was one of the most nimble and sporty road cars of the day, due to its rear engine design and small, light, aerodynamic body. It had voluptuous flowing lines that were able to turn heads at every corner and probably remains one then most classically elegant sports cars of this era. The Early 911 Porsche cars are icons in the world and are instantly recognizable because of their beautiful lines, timeless design, and incredible performance. Really, they are engineering marvels, born from visionary people with a sense of passion and style manifested in a vehicle that is more than comfortable on both the street and the racetrack. This early short wheel base example was completed on June 18, 1965. It was originally delivered in Ruby Red with black Leatherette interior. The previous and long-term owner of this 1965 Porsche discovered the car in a neighbors garage in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1982. It was covered with a tarp and was not in running order. At the time it had 93,000 original miles on the odometer. He would keep the car 29 years until we purchased it from him late this year. It has always been garaged and never driven in inclement weather. For the last 22 years, the car was preserved in deep storage while the owner had overseas assignments. At some point in its history the car was painted light blue which is now showing its age. The interior seats are the originals from the factory and still stuffed with horse hair padding. An aftermarket Air Conditioning unit has been tastefully installed. Remnants of the original Ruby Red paint are a testament to the originality and integrity of this car. It has tuned Weber carbs a new muffler and "S" style bumpers which can easily be removed to return to a more factory authentic appearance. The wheels are dated coded and mounted on brand new 165-75 R15 tires. Just this year, the 65 was pulled out and carefully revived to its former running and driving condition, over $8,000 in servicing receipts are available for inspection. The service was completed by The 901 Shop in FL and included: Installation of new aluminum gas tank, fuel pump, carburetor rebuild and adjustment, spark plugs, throttle bushings, hoses, hood shocks, new brake lines, shifter bushings, remove engine and seal, and seal flywheel. Orderly engine and storage compartments make way to a clean undercarriage still displaying the factory undercoating; and with its recent servicing, the car remains in good running and driving condition making it an ideal companion for pleasant drives and long-distance tours! Restored examples are approaching $200,000.00; we encourage a close inspection of this car. Introductory Year 911 SWB Coupe! Original Engine as confirmed by the COA! Single ownership for almost 30yrs! Recent Full Service! Very even body lines and gaps. Beautiful original undercarriage and detailed engine! Early SWB 911s are becoming highly sought after and collectible! ]]>

It was the successor to both the 190 SL and the legendary 300 SL Gullwing. Today, its popularity as a classic is increasing. The cars undercarriage is solid while the 280s body displayes a recent exterior respray in the original hue. Always extraordinarily attractive, the Mustang has been capturing the hearts of drivers for nearly 40 years. Designed originally as a two-seater in the European tradition, the Mustang came with an obligatory back seat and a variety of options that came the buyer an opportunity to customize their purchase. According to the dealer invoice, this particular Mustang was originally shipped to ASC and sold to Walker Buerge Ford in Los Angeles, California. The Mustang starts up and drives with no notable issues, as the electronics, including the power windows and sunroof remain in proper working order. Replacement items such as the ignition system, grill and steering wheel have been installed - although, all original equipment accompany the car. The paintwork and chrome have begun to age in areas, but present nicely as a driver. This 1921 Dodge Victoria 2dr Doctors Coupe . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Blue with a Green interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1921 Dodge Brothers Victoria Coupe Chassis No. 580126 The Dodge Brothers were famous long before they built the first car that carried their name. They established a small machine shop at the turn of the century, and were soon building engines for Ransom E. Olds and later became stockholders in the Ford Motor Company for whom they built engines, transmissions and axles. By 1913, they realized that the Ford Company was heading toward self-sufficiency, and they decided to sell their stock and started their own venture. In 1920, Dodge moved into second place in the automobile industry, but joy was short-lived, as both brothers died the same year. The 1921 model was the last design planned by the brothers. This extremely rare Dodge Brothers Victoria or Doctors Coupe is quite the unique find, as these particular models were only produced in this configuration for less than two months! Early Dodges were notable for their silent starter-generator combination, self adjusting carburetor and reversed gear patterns. This example is configured with suicide doors, 6 wire wheels, cast bronze lug nuts, ventable windscreens, a Clymer "through the windshield sportlight" and an extremely rare "Fat Mans" steering wheel. An account from the previous long-term owner: "This Victoria was discovered by Austin Clark, the owner of the Long Island Auto Museum, in South Hampton, NY. At that time, I worked for Mr. Clark at his museum. I did not have sufficient funds to buy the car, so I took a partner, collector Joseph Bowra (my mentor) of Hicksville, NY in 1972. The car was then restored by us over a period of three years. I owned one half interest originally, and purchased the other half from Joe when he moved to Pennsylvania in 1978." Properly stored and constantly maintained since the mid-1970s, this unique example of the late Dodge Brothers ingenuity and design proudly displays its 35+ year restoration. The car exhibits a beautiful patina throughout and remains solid and reliable. The motor starts right up, runs smoothly, drives nicely and sounds great! All components of the electrical system are in proper working order including the horn, lamps, spotlight, taillights and the starter-generator. While doing our research we found a unique post card from 1971 featuring this car in the Long Island Auto Museum. This Victoria certainly is a unique testament to Detroits automotive history! A museum quality example! Single ownership for almost 40yrs! You may never see another! Only: $29,500.00 For more information, please contact: sales@driversource.com Selling Made Simple. This 1923 Dodge Business Sedan . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Blue with a Not Specified interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1923 Dodge Brothers Business Sedan Chassis No. 990253 The Dodge Brothers were famous long before they built the first car that carried their name. Few people know that the 1923 Dodge models literally divide the past from the present. The Business Sedan was made of a steel skin welded to an all steel framework. These all steel bodies were much stronger than their wood counterparts. They were safer, longer lasting and as it turned out, pioneered the future in car building. The Dodge Sedan also made news when General Pershing chased Pancho Villa across Mexico in his Sedan; Villa so admired the car that he bought one for himself. It is said that he was captured in that very Dodge. Purchased new by a Mr. Bishop, a cabinetmaker in Huntington, NY. The famous collector Lester Cutting later found it and allowed the previous owner to purchase the car from the estate in 1962 for $125.00. During its early life it had been sparingly used as the familys Sunday driver for church and running errands. The survivor was discovered completely intact with original paint and mohair upholstery; the spare tire is also original to the car from new. The Sedans remains in excellent working order as all of its mechanical components have been properly restored. The pervious long-term caretaker spent years rebuilding and reviving the components under the tutelage of renowned antique automotive master mechanic George Kellner. The engine was then shipped to Federal Mogul Machinists in Chicago, IL for a complete short block rebuild. Very few early closed-car Dodges are known to still wear their original interior upholstery, especially in this condition! This example is truly a time capsule survivor! This 1923 Ford Model T Touring Car . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Black with a Black Leather interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1923 Ford Model T Touring Car Chassis No. 12078379 The Ford Model T (colloquially known as the Tin Lizzie, Flivver, T-Model Ford, or T) was produced by Henry Fords Ford Motor Company from 1908 through 1927. It is generally regarded as the first affordable automobile, the car that opened travel to the common middle-class American; some of this was because of Fords innovations, including assembly line production with completely interchangeable parts. Purchased by the previous long-term owner for fifty dollars from Arthur Schoek on September 2, 1958 in east Norwich, NY, this particular T was originally used as a demonstration car for the Eddie Fischer Ford dealership in Oyster Bay, NY. Ford built its ten millionth car that year and sent special instructions to all dealers to letter a factory supplied touring car shipped with no engine number with the phrase "The Ten Millionth Ford" in large white letters on both sides of the body. When the previous caretaker purchased the car at age 11, the lettering was faintly visible. Being young and naive, he decided to remove the lettering and paint the car using an Electrolux vacuum cleaner spray gun-outfit. It has since been painted 4 times over the last 53. Fitted with Hassler shock absorbers for a comfortable ride, the Ts leather interior upholstery was recently replaced, along with the water pump, top and side curtains. With excellent early history and long-term ownership, this Touring car unquestionably offers quite the nostalgic driving experience. Nicely Presented, Great Early History! Previous 53-Year Ownership! It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1948 Chrysler Windsor Highlander Convertible Chassis No. 70683523 Labeled as the Chrysler group, the full-size Chrysler Windsor was introduced in the 1940s. Larger than a mid-size and sitting on a wheelbase of more than 2.79 meters, the full-size Windsor was sold from the 1940s through the 1960s. Equipped with the newly developed Fluid Drive transmission system that allowed the driver to shift without using the clutch, the Windsor was a rear wheel drive car that had an S6 configuration. The 1940s Windsor was capable of producing 108 bhp at 3600 rpm. Until the 1961 model year, the Windsor was the Chrysler price leader until the Chrysler Newport took the spot. The Windsor name was replaced in 1962 by the non-lettered series Chrysler 300. Offered here is the most desirable model of the Windsor series. This Highlander convertible was recently pulled from long-term storage and is now ready for restoration! Finished in a navy blue with a maroon Highlander Plaid interior, this nostalgic collectable is quite the find. Although, fully capable of driving as is, the body and interior upholstery show years of patina and age. The Windsor starts and drives with ease and the electric convertible top still functions properly. This handsome example is a chance to own an icon of American postwar prosperity! Only: $72,500.00 SELLING ON EBAY WITH NO RESERVE PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE FUNDS IN HAND AND-OR CANNOT COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. This 1953 Bentley R-Type 4dr Saloon . This model was designed as a logical step-up from the popular Isetta 300-250. This 1963 Mercedes-Benz 190SL 2dr Convertible . It is equipped with a Manual transmission. The vehicle is Red with a Black Leather interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1963 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Chassis No. 12104210023457 Engine No. 121.928-10-001387 The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a two door grand touring convertible was produced between May 1955 and February 1963. The 190SL was sold alongside the more expensive Mercedes-Benz 300SL, which it closely resembled both in its styling and in its fully independent suspension, with both cars having double wishbone suspensions at the front and swing axles at the rear. However, the 190SL was built on the shortened monocoque R121 platform, which was modified from the W121 small saloon platform. The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL impresses on account of unquestionable harmony of its tasteful body and its high performance. United in this automobile are the classical form of the coupe and the aesthetically perfected aerodynamic lines of its time. Chromium is simply there to accentuate the stylish flowing lines. 23457: Presented here is very lovely example of the increasingly desirable Mercedes-Benz 190SL. This fit running and absolutely beautiful Roadster is ready to be driven and enjoyed! Its starts, runs and drives with no smoke and no issues. The original Solex carburators are nicely tuned, and make for nice smooth driving with no sputtering or lag. The paint is very recent and is high quality and glossy, same goes for the chrome bumpers and trim. It has new tires, new gas tank, solid undercarriage, nicely maintained interior and well detailed engine and trunk. Overall it is NOT a "showcar" but a very nice driver that would stand on it own at your local car club show or gathering. It comes with a nice Factory hardtop, original Technical Data booklet, Owners Manual, vintage Dealer Directory and 1974 Vehicle Inspection Report accompany the car. 190sls are becoming very collectible and sought after, we encourage close attention to this car. Final year for the legendary 190sl! Beautiful paint and trim! Original Solex Carbs, Factory Hardtop, books, spare, and jack! A good running and driving example! 230753 - Type 902-1 First year of production for the iconic 911 In 1965 the factory was still producing the 356C and SC models. This car is one of very few 911s built that year. According to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity It was completed on June 18, 1965. This early short wheel base example was originally delivered in Ruby Red with black Leatherette interior. The previous and long-term owner discovered the car in a neighbors garage in Ft. At some point in its history the car was painted light blue which is now showing its age, and it still has remnants of the original Ruby Red which can be seen on the underside edges. The interior seats are the originals from the factory and still stuffed with horse hair padding. An aftermarket Air Conditioning unit has been tastefully installed. It has tuned Weber Carberators an Abarth exhaust and "S" style bumpers which can easily be removed to return to a more factory authentic appearance. The wheels are dated coded and mounted on brand new 165-75 R15 tires. Just this year, the 65 was pulled out and carefully revived to its former running and driving condition, over $8,000 in servicing receipts are available for inspection and will accompany the car. Orderly engine and storage compartments make way to a clean undercarriage still displaying the factory undercoating; and with its recent servicing, the car remains in good running and driving condition. Restored examples are approaching $200,000.00; we encourage a close inspection of this car, which is ideal to drive or restore back to its original specifications. ]]>

This 1966 Fiat Gamine 2dr 500 Convertible . 110F0001928647 499 CC Air-Cooled Two-Cylinder Engine, 21 BHP, 4-Speed Manual Transmission, 4-Wheel Hydraulic Drum Brakes, Front Traverse Leaf Spring Suspension, Rear Coil-Spring Suspension. As one of the premier Italian coachbuilders, Vignale designed and built bodies for Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia and Cunningham among others. It has a very nice under carriage, highly detailed engine bay and overall shows very well. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1971 Ford Mustang SportsRoof Chassis No. 1F02HI67528 A pillar of American automotive lore, the Mustang is the vehicle the brought sporting dash and styling at a price that almost everyone could afford. Always extraordinarily attractive, the Mustang has been capturing the hearts of drivers for nearly 40 years. Designed originally as a two-seater in the European tradition, the Mustang came with an obligatory back seat and a variety of options that came the buyer an opportunity to customize their purchase. By 1971, the car had become nearly 8 inches longer and 6 inches wider than the original 1965 model. Mustang was now a full-fledged muscle car, moving beyond the 2+2 market niche it created. Offered here is a fully-optioned SportsRoof with A-C, factory stereo, power windows, power steering, sport deck, select-shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission and an electric sunroof among others! According to the dealer invoice, this particular Mustang was originally shipped to ASC and sold to Walker Buerge Ford in Los Angeles, California. It is believed the car was an executive order for a VIP at Walker Buerge Ford or Ford Corporate. Well suited as a driver, this very rare example makes an outstanding base for a full restoration. Please note the front bumper exhibits several vertical scratches; also slight bubbling on the top surface of the drivers rear quarter from an older improper paint prep.
